Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the "Notice on the Responsible Party" section of this Privacy Policy.

How do we collect your data?

On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may be, for example, data you enter in a contact form or provide when placing an order.

Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, or time of the page visit). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior. Insofar as contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the transmitted data is also processed for contract offers, orders, or other requests for services.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You are welcome to contact us at any time regarding this and any further questions on the subject of data protection.

  1. Hosting

We host the content of our website with Shopify.

The provider is Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland (hereinafter "Shopify"). Shopify is our contractual partner for operating the online shop in the EU.

When you visit our website and place an order in our shop, Shopify collects and processes various personal data, including technical access data as well as – in the case of an order – your order and customer data. All data collected on our website is processed on Shopify's servers. As part of Shopify's services, data may also be transferred for further processing on our behalf to Shopify Inc., 150 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4, Canada, as well as to companies affiliated with Shopify in the USA. There is an adequacy decision by the European Commission for the transfer to Canada. For transfers to the USA, Shopify relies on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC); in addition, the infrastructure used by Shopify (including Google Cloud Platform) is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

The use of Shopify is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable possible presentation and secure operation of our online shop. Insofar as corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Further information on data protection at Shopify can be found at: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy and https://www.shopify.de/legal/datenschutz.

Order Processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) with Shopify. This is a contract required under data protection law that ensures that Shopify processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

  1. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies." Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you desire (e.g. for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as consent has been requested for the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG); consent can be withdrawn at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Consent / Cookie Banner

On this website, we obtain and document your consent to the storage of non-necessary cookies or the use of technologies requiring consent via a consent banner. Via the banner, you can give, decline, and at any time withdraw or adjust your consent for the future. The legal basis for processing the consent data is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages (Shopify) automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address.

This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.

Inquiry by Email, Phone, or Fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, insofar as your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), insofar as this has been requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time.

The data you send us via contact inquiries remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Customer Account / Registration on This Website

You can register in our shop in order to create a customer account and use additional functions. We only use the data entered for this purpose in order to use the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will refuse the registration.

The data entered during registration is processed for the purpose of carrying out the usage relationship established by the registration and, if applicable, for the initiation of further contracts (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The data collected during registration is stored by us for as long as you are registered in our shop, and is then deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

  1. eCommerce and Payment Providers

Processing of Customer and Contract Data

We collect, process, and use personal customer and contract data for the establishment, content, and modification of our contractual relationships. We only collect, process, and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

The customer data collected is deleted after the order has been completed or the business relationship has ended and any applicable statutory retention periods have expired. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Data Transfer When Concluding Contracts for Online Shops, Merchants, and Shipping of Goods

When you order goods from us, we pass on your personal data to the transport company commissioned with the delivery as well as to the payment service provider commissioned with processing the payment. Only the data that the respective service provider needs to fulfill its task is disclosed. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. If you have given corresponding consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, we will pass on your email address to the transport company commissioned with the delivery so that it can inform you by email about the shipping status of your order; you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Payment Services

We integrate payment services from third-party companies on our website. When you make a purchase from us, your payment data (e.g. name, payment amount, bank details, credit card number) is processed by the payment service provider for the purpose of processing the payment. The respective providers' contractual and data protection provisions apply to these transactions. The use of payment service providers is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract processing) as well as in the interest of the smoothest, most convenient, and most secure payment process possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Insofar as your consent is requested for certain actions, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR is the legal basis for data processing; consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future.
